Since the first festival, the prize lists have constantly evolved, taking into account the remarks of our prestigious jury presidents, the very pertinent remarks of certain competitors, our feedback from previous festivals and the desire to internationalize our festival.
In 2010, the first Festival had 3 categories at its origin:
- Short film
- Slide show
- Photography
In 2012, the People's Choice Award and the Thematic Series are introduced.
In 2016, the Clip category appeared, aimed more at short and dynamic works (teaser mode), as opposed to the more elaborate short films.
In 2017, the Photography category is split into 3: Wide Angle, Macro/Proxy and Black and White.
In 2018, the competitions become completely free, our website is translated into English. The festival is really going international.
In 2019 the Freshwater category is added, to diversify the images.
In 2020, the Caledonian category was created for New Caledonian residents with a photo taken in New Caledonia.
In 2022, the Coral Sea Park Grand Prix, with a chance to win a place on a scientific cruise in the park.
